Drawing During Tire Replacement

Today I had to get all 4 of my tires replaced, and get a majorly-needed oil change; so along came the "sketchbook" (aka about 6 pcs. of copy paper folded in half).  I decided yesterday to try to create a turkey, ala Thanksgiving, so I worked on that and a sketch I needed to do for a potential custom order (part bear, part bird!).

Here's what I've got so far:
What do you think?

Don't worry, I didn't spend the 2 hours just on these.  I also annoyed those around me by calling our insurance broker, doing an interview for a magazine article, and a few other items on my daily to-do list.

News and New Autumn Dudes

I had the opportunity to design the ghosties while visiting my awesome in-laws in TX last week.  I also came up with about 14 other possible critters, and hope to post some of them in the next few days.

Time has been short, with traveling, school starting (our girls started 4th and 6th grades this year!), our eldest going to gymnastics, the hubby working from home, and me trying to get these Musers off the ground!

I've also got a solo photography exhibit coming up during Atlanta Celebrates Photography month!  I'm super excited about it, even though photography has needed to take a backseat for the time-being.

I'm really new at this whole blogging action, so I would love any input or advice!
Thanks!

Custom Order

At the end of last week, a customer asked for a custom order.  She wanted a mini toptooth with dark brown eyes, made with fabric in shades of brown.  So, I sent her a photo with possible fabrics, and she picked a tan tie-dyed one.  Here is how he came out:

He reminds me of a chocolate chip cookie, which fits because she named him Munchie.
